Physics Today accepts proposals for feature articles as well as Back Scatter, the image-driven page at the back of the magazine. We also accept obituaries, research-related news tips, books for review, and product press releases.

If you wish to contribute an article for our readers, you may submit a brief proposal. The proposal should include (i) an explanation of why the topic is of general interest, (ii) a brief outline of the article's contents, and (iii) information about yourself (and any possible coauthors; note that no more than three total authors are allowed). Please submit your proposal via our contact us form.

You can submit pictures for Back Scatter by filling out the contact us form. Submissions should preferably have a portrait orientation and be at least 1500 pixels across. Images can be .jpg, .tiff, .gif, .bmp, .pdf. Please include a title for your image, a description, a subject area, whether the picture is in the public domain, and photo credit if known.

To submit an online obituary, visit Physics Today's contact page. We ask that they be up to 750 words and include the deceased’s date of birth and date of death. If possible, also include a photo (with credit information).

You may submit a Letter to the Editor, a news tip about recent research, or a press release for a product through our contact us form.
