New science website offers free courses Free

13 March 2014
Ars Technica: This week saw the launch of a new educational website designed to teach science concepts to the general public. The World Science University, founded by physicist Brian Greene, consists of three levels of instruction: science unplugged, short courses, and university courses. Through the use of videos, Greene gives short answers to questions posed on several topics in “science unplugged,” goes a little more in depth in the short courses, and delves more deeply into the topics in the university-level courses, which also include short quizzes. A certificate of completion is presented to those who finish a course. Although the course selection is limited, the site is a work in progress, with more courses currently in development.
