New
York Times: Today a Soyuz TMA-22 rocket carrying one
American and two Russian astronauts began the two-day flight to
the International Space Station (ISS). Now that its space
shuttle program is over, NASA is going to utilize other sources
of transport for space travel, among them Russia and,
eventually, commercial enterprise. Today's launch was
originally scheduled for September, but was delayed after the
failure of a Russian unmanned cargo rocket in August. Another
crew of three astronauts is scheduled to travel to the ISS on
21 December.
