New
York Times: The Brookings Institution has compiled what it
describes as one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date
analyses of the US’s enigmatic green economy. For its
report
“Sizing
the Clean Economy,” the institution collected data
from every county and major metropolitan area in the US from
2003 to 2010. One point the report makes, writes Joanna Foster
for the
New York Times, is that although green initiatives are
driving growth and innovation, market and policy
challenges—such as financing shortfalls, inadequate
support for innovation, and policy gaps that undercut market
demand—are preventing those initiatives from reaching
their full potential.
