Chronicle
of Higher Education: Saudi Arabia's higher education system
produces more than enough graduates in the arts and social
sciences to fill civil service positions. But, as the
Chronicle's Ursula Lindsey reports, the country is not
able to fill positions in its private sector. Many of those
jobs go instead to foreigners. Now, if new education reforms
work as intended, Saudi Arabia will produce more graduates with
sought-after technical skills.
