To the extent that I thus ignore societies, even the American Physical Society, and institutions, even Yale University, I am a reactionary, but I am looking into the future as well as into the past when I now proceed to the subject of my speech, not announced in advance, and urge each and every one of you, as often as you can, to “Do it yourself.”
