Among the many ideas being explored in the continual attempt to improve engineering education is that of eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort in allied departments. At the outset, it is evident that some duplication of subject matter, particularly as it relates to principles, is essential. However, undue duplication robs the student of the opportunity to receive instruction in additional areas which may be vital to his continued growth and development throughout his professional career.
