This is a second article on the general topic of the comparative histories of physicists. An earlier article, which appeared in the August issue of Physics Today, portrayed the general backgrounds of some American physicists, as well as reporting the more important factors that induced these men to enter the field of physics. This second article is an analysis of the various factors reported by the physicists to determine any significant relationships or variances in these factors.
