The American Physical Society’s annual March Meeting takes place in sunny (hopefully) southern California this year, at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 21 to 25 March. This is the largest physics meeting of the year, and with approximately 6500 participants, more than 90 invited sessions, and 550 contributed sessions, this year’s gathering should live up to that billing. The meeting will also include a job fair, an exhibit hall, and a souvenir store.

The society’s headquarters hotel, the Westin Bonaventure, is located in downtown Los Angeles, as are several other hotels that will handle overflow. Despite the city’s car-culture reputation, the convention center is a short walk from some of the hotels APS will be using, and buses will be provided between the center and those hotels that are not within walking distance.
