For physics and physicists 1975 was another “recession” year, just as it was for the rest of the nation. For the American Institute of Physics it was a year in which the Governing Board concentrated attention on how physicists can make their case for support for physics through an informed public. It examined in detail AIP's role in public relations. At the same time, the Advisory Committee on Manpower considered the needs of the physics community in relation to AIP manpower programs.
