San Diego will be the location of the first Conference on Laser and Electro‐Optical Systems (CLEOS), to be held 25–27 May in the convention center of the Town and Country Hotel. This California city is a fitting choice for the conference site, as the San Diego–La Jolla area is known for its numerous centers of scientific research and development—the General Atomic Co, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and the University of California, San Diego are just a few.
