NUCLEAR DATA REQUIRED for today's atomic‐power programs are largely gathered, stored and disseminated under the supervision of the European‐American Nuclear‐Data Committee, a group of 16 individual scientists who represent 21 nations and two international organizations. Formed in 1959 under the auspices of the European Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Coöperation and Development, the committee has distinguished itself by leadership in program planning and by effective coördination of several national nuclear‐data activities.
