The University of Colorado's sixth annual Institute for Theoretical Physics, to be held at Boulder from June 17 to August 23, will deal with astrophysics and special topics in modern theoretical physics. The tentative partial schedule of lecturers includes Hong Yee Chiu (selected topics in weak interactions and astrophysics), S. Chandrasekhar (the higher‐order virial equations and their applications to the stability of rotating configurations). William A. Fowler (nuclear and neutrino processes in stars and supenovae), Tullio Regge (topic to be announced), and D. Ruelle (rigorous results in statistical mechanics). In addition, a course on the theory of superfluids will be given by John Valatin of the University of Birmingham, and the Physics Department at Boulder will offer several regular graduate courses to run concurrently with the institute.
