A two‐week course in neutron‐activation analysis, intended for those who have already done some work involving radioisotope techniques, will be offered by the Special Training Division of the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies from September 24 to October 5. It will include lectures and laboratory work dealing with such topics as gamma spectroscopy, multichannel analyzers, neutron sources, computer applications, and radiochemical separations. The Division's new neutron generator, a source capable of producing neutrons per second, will be available for experiments in flux determination, the use of fast or slow neutrons, and analyses of the spectra of extremely short‐lived radioisotopes. Further information can be obtained by writing to Dr. Ralph T. Overman, Chairman, Special Training Division, Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies, P.O. Box 117, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
