Temperature measurement is extremely important for process control in laser manufacturing. To obtain temperature, CO2 laser was used as heating source, and fiber optic spectrometer was used for gathering the molten pool radiant spectrum. Meanwhile, temperature can be calculated based on the relationship between spectrum slope and temperature, which was transformed by Wien formula. After this, the infrared thermometer and thermocouple were used for error calibration. The result showed that the errors of this method ranged from -50 ℃ to 60 ℃.
