This paper concerns the study of behavior of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite using shock produced by laser in water confinement regime. This shock laser solicitation is a potential method to study mechanical properties of CFRP under shock and adhesion test of Interply and CFRP stacked together. Rear Free surface velocities have been measured using Doppler velocity for four Ply CFRP. Coupling experiment/simulations gives the time history of shock wave propagation inside material and an evaluation of a damage threshold. The signature of damage produced in the material is clearly evidenced on RFSV profile.
