We discuss the limitations of the present cornea ablation procedures by excimer laser to correct the eyesight. We note that none of the present methods takes into account the corneal tissue elasticity, which has a crucial part in the interaction laser beam tissue due to the high fluence of the beam. We suggest combining wave front analysis with PulsESPI in order to simulate and monitor the excimer laser ablation procedures with a suitable mathematical model. We show the experimental results of detecting and measuring the deformations of a bovine cornea at its own frequency resonance and suggest how to use the results to develop a mathematical model of the cornea.
