The ground state spontaneous Polarization of ferroelectric bulk BiFeO3 crystal have been calculated by using the chemical concept of electronegativity. To calculate effective cationic charges we follow the Granovskey’s approach. Computed results of spontaneous polarization induced due to the distortion of cationic positions are well in agreement with the established results.
