The laser technology has made great progress. Especially laser could be modulated on time, space and frequency, which has broadened the applications in material processing and more attentions have been paid to this technique. Now aerospace industries emphasize the application of laser processing because of its advantage of making precision structures, such as laser cutting, laser drilling, laser welding, laser peening. This paper presents a short review on research and application in aerospace. According to special properties of laser processing, it is discussed that the application prospect of laser in aerospace structure for materials additive growing, removing and surface improving. And uneven features microstructure and propertied resulted from laser processing materials are described. The laser welding and laser shock processing are specially investigated. Some important problems are put foreword for laser processing application in aerospace.
