3D laser processing of automobile panel in new car trial-manufacture has obvious advantages: it can replace some trimming and drilling dies, reduce the number of dies, and be convenient for automobile panel changes. We use self-developed high-power Nd:YAG laser processing system to achieve 3D trimming, drilling and welding of automobile panel. Nd:YAG laser use four-rods resonator structure by krypton lamp-pumped, the output power is 200 ∼ 2000W, instability is less than 2%, the laser is transmitted by fiber, laser processing head and industrial robot make up of laser processing system. In processing, the laser output power are controlled by system control panel, and the robot controls processing process, include path of processing, laser output, processing speed, opening and closing of processing gas. The system realizes automatic control. The system meets the processing requirements of automobile panel, and easy to operate.
