Focus and Coverage

The conferences of the Laser Institute of America are the town square of the laser community. A large and diverse group, laser professionals often find themselves disconnected from each other.

The laser community is a global one, and LIA conferences and events bring together laser professionals from North America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. Attracting the best minds from the hottest fields, our conferences and events are considered worldwide to be the best forum for exchanging up-to-date, technical information on laser technology, applications, and safety. No matter what the laser-related question, the answer can be found at an LIA conference or event

The International Congress on Applications of Lasers & Electro-Optics (ICALEO®), organized annually by the Laser Institute of America, is viewed as the premier source of technical information in the field.

ICALEO brings together the leaders and experts from academic and industrial settings in the field of laser material interaction, providing the world’s premier platform for sharing new ideas and discovering breakthrough solutions. Presentations focus on Laser Materials Processing, Laser Microprocessing, Laser Nanomanufacturing, Laser Applications, Laser Systems, Direct Diode Processing, and Ultrafast Laser Processes.

The International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC®) covers all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control.

Scientific sessions, complimented by a practical applications seminar, address developments in regulatory, mandatory, and voluntary safety standards for laser products and for laser use. Professionals in all fields and applications benefit from the ILSC as a tremendous source of information and opportunity for networking within the field of laser applications.

The Pacific International Conference on Applications of Lasers and Optics (PICALO) focused on the growth of industrial lasers and applications in the pacific region.

PICALO promoted the collaboration among the academic and industrial communities, including researchers, engineers, equipment suppliers, and industry personnel. Experts shared the latest developments and progress in laser materials processing and shared knowledge, experiences, and visions for the growth and applications of lasers and optics.
