Merging risk management and laser safety

Documentation and monitoring of laser safety protocols in a medical and surgery setting has included use of laser log sheets. Procedures for laser system maintenance have not included such careful consideration. A conceptual framework that is multidisciplinary in approach will be discussed along with a practical example that involves technical support of hospital laser systems.
