Almost half of the lasers located in inpatient and outpatient facilities within the state of Minnesota have one specialty utilization by a single laser therapist. The type of lasers used coincide with the most commonly used lasers within the laser community today, CO2, argon, and Nd:Yag. It is implied in the data that facilities that do provide education for their nursing staff still do not see laser education as a priority.
