Laser safety training video for use in an R&D and industrial setting Available to Purchase

The “American National Standard for the Safe Use of Lasers” (ANSI Z136.1-1986) recommends that management provide a safety training program for employees who work with lasers. To comply with the ANSI recommendation a training video was developed at 3M that incorporates slides from the LIA Safety Slide set with slides of lasers used in 3M. The end result is a general presentation covering the main points recommended by ANSI and yet tailor made for 3M personnel. After the video presentation has been shown, specific lasers being used by the audience are discussed. Safety features are mentioned and special precautions are emphasized. Following is an outline of the video presentation.
