Over the past years, lasers have taken on a stronger role as a non-contact thermal processing method in industrial fabrication. The possibility of processing a considerable range of materials, the brief change-over times for different operational specifications and the high automation and integration capacity in the existing production lines have proved to be the main advantages of the tool laser. The established processes today included cutting, drilling, welding, and marking.
