Practically, all laser machining processes require a comparatively narrow range of main parameters variation (power density, beam traverse speed, shielding gas flow rate, focus spot dimension, etc.). The absence of on-line temperature control and monitoring is one of the main limitations of laser-technology integration into modern industry.
