The granulometer 715 manufactured by CILAS-ALCATEL performs measurements on powders dispersed into liquids. Its range extends from 0.5 micron to 200 microns and is divided into 16 granulometric classes whose widths increase as their mean diameter providing a constant relative resolution.
Two problems related to the Fraunhofer theory and to the mathematical algorithm used for the calculations are treated:
