A low energy, passively mode-locked Nd:YAG oscillator with ±5% stability/reproducibility and high quality TEMoo mode was constructed. No super-invar structures, Brewster cut elements, intracavity focusing optics or active modulators are required, thus providing a relatively low cost system capable of producing reliable pulse outputs.
