Fiber optics is rapidly maturing for use in military avionic systems. Important to the successful introduction of fiber optics to these systems is the concurrent development of a well-planned Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) posture. ILS, testability, and Built-in-Test (BIT) concepts applicable to military avionic fiber optic systems must also be addressed.
