The local network, whether on a corporate campus or on a military base, is fast becoming a complex web of intermingled video, voice and data lines, each on its own peculiar copper cable. Think of all the cabling choking the conduits in, or between, the buildings on your facility. Then imagine it all replaced by one or two small fiber-optic cables. This is the sort of revolution that is now underway in corporate and government local networks, and it’s catching on fast.
