This paper presents the latest thin metal cutting applications processed using the water jet-guided laser technology. This technique has found a broad range of applications in the precision micromachining field. The water jet-guided laser is used today in several industrial fields, such as semiconductor, solar, electronics, medical, tooling, LED, watch and automotive industries. The applications presented in this paper include the drilling fuel injection nozzle and the cutting of watch hand, stents, micro-springs, CuBe sheet, stencils, and OLED screens.
