Excitons: Energetics and Spatio-temporal Dynamics
Excitons play key roles in material interactions with light. Information on their binding energies, spatial extents, and temporal dynamics is important for understanding natural light harvesting processes. They also have significant implications for improving solar energy conversion/light emitting devices and for developing optoelectronic materials and sensors. We invite papers reporting new results on the energetics and spatio-temporal dynamics of the various types of excitons encountered in these applications through ab initio calculations, coarse-grained modeling, nonlinear/single molecule spectroscopy, or nanoscale imaging.
