Drug/Gene Delivery and Theranostics
Drug/gene delivery utilizes novel pharmaceutical formulations to deliver therapeutic cargos specifically to the disease sites, lowering the likelihood of significant side effects. Theranostics is a combination of therapy and diagnosis, including biosensing, molecular imaging and image-guided therapies. Drug/gene delivery and theranostics hold the potential for commercial production and clinical translation, which represent the future development of precision medicine and personalized prescription.
