2020 Photonics and Optics
The rapidly evolving field of photonics and optics has led to significant advances in lasers and ultrashort laser pulses. These improvements have allowed its disciplines and subdisciplines to significantly diversify, allowing applications to expand into materials, healthcare, communications, and beyond. In this collection, recent developments in nonlinear optics, sensing, laser-assisted medical diagnostics, laser sources, and quantum optics, among others, are presented.
