2019 Chemical Physics
Chemical physics has been critical to establishing a fundamental understanding of the physiochemical properties of molecules, polymers, solids, and interfaces, thus precipitating the ubiquitous structure/function paradigm. In turn, exciting developments in physical methods and models has led to the deployment of this paradigm to novel chemical architectures for emerging technologies.
This collection highlights recent advances in fundamental and applied chemical physics. Key insight into chemical bonding and electronic structure of eminent systems is presented. Jointly, the utility of solid-state, polymer, and solution-phase systems for advances in photovoltaics, batteries, optics, and sensing are demonstrated.
