Celebrating the work of Jean Bourgain

Jean Bourgain was a transformative figure, whose impact is impossible to overestimate and whose premature departure was a huge loss to the mathematical community. His achievements, vision and insight united many distant and very diverse directions of harmonic and functional analysis, partial differential equations, combinatorics, and number theory into one enormously powerful and broad entity. This special collection is intended to celebrate his work in mathematical physics, featuring original research and expository articles in the numerous mathematical physics fields to which he contributed.
