JLA Celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Laser
In 1960, the first laser was built by Theodore H. Maiman. As the laser turns 60 years old this year, the Journal of Laser Applications aims to recognize this significant milestone by compiling a list of articles published throughout the journal's history. These articles represent what we feel are significant innovations in laser research and hope that it will inspire researchers in the community to continue transforming laser research, which has been an important facet to various industries and applications.
