Dynamics of Modern Power Grids

The ongoing integration of renewable energy sources in modern power grids presents numerous challenges in understanding and manipulating the high-dimensional, nonlinear dynamics of power grids. Articles in this Focus Issue cover a broad spectrum of topics including the interaction of heterogeneous dynamical actors in networks of various scales, the role of various dynamical properties such as delays and losses, and the systemic interaction of power grid networks with external driving signals.
