Boris A. Malomed, Ph.D., D. Sc., is a chaired professor at the Department of Physical Electronics, School of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tel Aviv University, Israel. He holds a research chair on the topic of Optical Solitons. He had earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the Institute for Chemical Physics, USSR Academy of Sciences in 1981. He had earned his D.Sc. degree (habilitation) in theoretical physics from the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in 1989. He is a Senior member of the Optical Society of America. His current h-index is 81 (Web of Science) / 95 (Google Scholar).
