Alisa Grimes currently teaches chemistry and physics at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Colorado. She has taught science for over 16 years in high schools in both Colorado and California. Her teaching philosophy focuses on creating an environment in which students can cultivate a growth mindset by encouraging constant reflection on the learning process.

Nicole Schrode of Longmont High School, Colorado, started her career as an environmental biologist and environmental educator.
