This paper will show the perspective from the facility owner and the challenges encountered trying to offer premium assisted listening experiences. The recent opening of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, FL, has brought to light many of these challenges. Our experiences this past year included having to determine the viability of different systems and what type of system works best in our spaces. The ultimate choice of system was different than what was originally installed and resulted from a process of working with a local audiologist, patrons of the arts center, assistive listening manufacturers, and our house staff. This paper presents that process along with our suggestions for further research and advancement of this technology.
