Equivalent Circuits of Solid Horns Undergoing Longitudinal Vibrations

Equivalent circuits of sections of solid horns undergoing longitudinal vibrations are derived. The Bessel and hyperbolic families of horns are used as illustrations of the application of the general expressions for the derivation of equivalent circuits; the familiar T‐ and π‐equivalent circuits are presented. Formulas for the special cases of parabolic, conical, catenoidal, hyperbolic, and exponential horns are given.
