Vibration of Simply Supported Flat Plates Simultaneously Tapered in Planform and Thickness

Accurate solutions are given for the first three natural frequencies of symmetric flexural vibration of simply supported flat plates that are simultaneously tapered in planform and thickness. The results are presented graphically, and the range of the values defining the geometry of the plate is considered large enough to cover most practical cases.
