Quantum Systems Far From Equilibrium

Out-of-equilibrium phenomena are abundant in nature. Despite this, effective descriptions are still lacking for their understanding. In quantum systems, there are several examples of deviation from equilibrium, and the search for how such systems relax back to equilibrium is ongoing. In this Special Topic Collection of AVS Quantum Science, we welcome experimental and theoretical contributions that will lead to the better understanding of these systems and to proposals for new direction in this rich field. Original research and review articles will be accepted, highlighting the challenges in any aspect of the theme. Topics that are directly or indirectly related to quantum non-equilibrium are welcome.
