Erratum: “Mixed Pierce-two-stream instability development in an extraction system of a negative ion source” [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 87, 02A509 (2016)] Free

In our paper¹ we have discovered two minor typing errors. The errors are found in Equation (4), which is placed on page 02A509-2. The symbol “+” after the “n” in the right part of the last expression following the dispersion relation should be written as an index. The final value should be “n₊,” which corresponds to the density of the positive background ions. Another mistake is discovered in the first relation following the dispersion equation, where the sign of division is lost between θ_b² and the expression in parentheses. Finally, Equation (4) should look as follows:
