The temperature dependences of the resistivity ρ(T) of Pd, Pd1−y Cuy, PdHx, and Pd1−y CuyHx in the temperature range 4.2−180 K were measured. The magnetic susceptibility of the alloys Pd1−y Cuy, was measured at room temperature. The value of θD of acoustic phonons, θϵ of optical phonons, and the ratio of the electron–phonon interaction constant with optical and acoustic phonons λo/λs were determined from the dependences ρ(T). It was found that the introduction of Cu into PdHx decreases θD and substantially increases λo, which increases Tc. The increase in λ0 is apparently linked with the behavior of the partial density of the s states of the electrons on H atoms.
