Composition‐modulated multilayer spin glasses of the form CuMn‐Cu and CuMn‐SiO2 have been produced by sputtering. Magnetic susceptibility and electron spin resonance measurements on these carefully prepared but not very well characterized systems have provided the following results. We have observed no obvious dimensional effects on the spin‐glass temperature with varying layer thickness. The layers exhibit no new macroscopic anisotropy. Mean‐free‐path effects, if present, produce no difference in Tg from what one calculates using the concentration of Mn averaged over the whole sample.
