Relation between noise and hysteresis has been recently under intensive research focus due to the fundamental challenges posed by noise and fluctuations in ultrasmall semiconductor and magnetic devices. However, a systematic analysis of hysteretic materials and devices driven by noisy input has been rather limited. On the one hand, this situation is related to lack of general analytical tools for addressing complex non-Markovian processes found at the output of hysteretic systems. On the other hand, noise is usually an internal characteristic of a physical system with limited control from experimental point of view. Our analytical approach to the analysis of noise passage through hysteretic systems is based on embedding the non-Markovian output processes in multidimensional Markovian processes defined on graph, while the experimental setup involves Hameg 8131-2 noise generators and Schmidt triggers as hysteretic rectangular loop operators. General features of noise passage through elementary hysteretic systems are first examined and their dependence of various parameters is discussed.
