Phase-Change Materials: Syntheses, Fundamentals, and Applications
Phase change exists widely in versatile materials, such as metals, ceramics, organics, and emerging 2D materials. Applications of the phase-change materials include heat storage, memories, photonics, neuromorphic calculation, actuators, etc. Phase engineering of these materials is also a hot topic, particularly in micro and nanoscale. This Special Topic will provide a valuable and timely forum for sharing recent advances in the syntheses, fundamentals, characterizations, and applications of phase-change materials. In addition to original research articles, it will contain invited tutorials and perspectives that may lead to new physical insights and technical advances for future research.
