Multicalorics
Multicaloric materials show thermal changes that can be driven simultaneously or sequentially by more than one type of applied external field and are prospective candidates for solid-state cooling technologies that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly. This Special Topic will provide scientists and engineers a common forum for sharing important advances in the synthesis, characterization, and application of multicaloric materials. We anticipate this Special Topic will contribute not only to the current understanding of the art and its practical implementation, but also stimulate future research and cross-fertilization.
